Our Lady of Guadalupe, Morgan Texas

Several entries back, I wrote about the life and vitality of our rural parishes, particularly Sacred Heart Parish in Comanche, Texas.  This past weekend the people of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Morgan, Texas, celebrated Mexican Independence day (September 16) with a Mass and fiesta, despite the rain!  Upon arrival, they told me the first thing they did was to thank God for the gift of much needed rain. Like Sacred Heart in Comanche, the parish is looking to expand its space.  The parish is served by Fr. Tom Kennedy, who is also pastor of Holy Angels parish in Clifton, Texas.  Here, also, the vitality of worship and parish life is a bright life of faith in rural Texas. Thanks to all! Felicidades!
